Definition: Ordinary inverter usually refers to DC 12V or 24V input, AC 220V, 50Hz output, power of 75-5000W inverter, some models also have AC-DC conversion (UPS) function.

Working principle: The direct current input inverter, through the transistor or field effect tube switch control, the direct current into alternating current.

Circuit structure
DC/DC booster circuit: In order to reduce the volume of the transformer, multiple transformers are used to boost the voltage. For example, the primary coils of four identical transformers are equivalent in parallel, and the secondary coils are connected in series to form a booster circuit, and the low-voltage DC inverter is boosted into high-voltage AC, and then the high-voltage DC is obtained through the rectification bridge and filtering.
DC/AC inverter circuit: The full-bridge inverter circuit is usually used to convert the DC voltage and output the inverter voltage through the alternating conduction of 2 pairs of switching devices, and the inverter voltage outputs the alternating current through the LC filter.


Control circuit: The switching frequency and duty cycle can be adjusted according to the demand, so as to achieve fast response and regulation of output voltage and current. By comparing the output voltage with the reference voltage, the error signal is obtained and input to the controller, which adjusts the duty cycle of the PWM driving signal to complete the closed-loop control of the rectified output voltage.

peculiarity

Low cost: The manufacturing cost is relatively low, and it is suitable for scenarios with low power output requirements and high cost sensitivity.

The output waveform is not ideal: the output waveform is mostly square waves or approximate square waves, containing a large number of high order harmonics, which will cause damage to some electrical equipment, such as additional losses for load appliances with core inductors or transformers, and interference with audio and some communication equipment.

Suitable for non-sensitive equipment: It can be used for some equipment with low requirements for power quality, such as power tools, electric vehicle chargers, etc.
